The Dream Keepers project was the brain child of professional artist, Kathy Fincher. Together with renowned sculptor, Martin Dawe, the Dream Keepers 9/11 memorial is the largest figurative patriotic public work of children in the world, it is believed that this will become a destination public art piece. The public unveiling on April 29th 2018, included; Governor Nathan and Mrs. Deal, U.S.. Congressman Rob Woodall, retired US. Congressman John Linder, Mayor Nancy Harris, Duluth City Councilmen, and Rodney Mims Cook, Jr., President of The National Monument Foundation, who dedicated the artwork as a 9/11 Memorial.
The centerpiece of the memorial is Kathy’s artwork titled “The Dream Keepers” and it became part of President George W. Bush’s private collection. Lithographs were sold all over the world and the story continues to be shared today.
The Dream Keepers center piece was created by FGD | OSS utilizing laminated glass with ImageVue custom printed interlayer and finally LED edge lit to make the image stand out.
